Musculoskeletal & Sports Injuries

But I don't do Sport!

This is not necessarily directed strictly towards the athlete but also to those every day injuries that occur to us all - a sprained ankle can require the same treatment whether it has occurred on the football pitch or falling down the stairs.

What can treatment do for me?

Any injury should have specialist treatment and correct treatment in the early stages of any injury can and often prevents unnecessary complications and can hasten recovery. Injuries may be classified into one of three categories

i) direct
ii) indirect and
iii) over use.

Old injuries can respond and benefit from treatment.

What happens during treatment?

The treatment will involve an assessment, massage, when appropriate, and a self-help regime. The entire treatment may take place over several stages depending on the injury.

This form of Complementary Medicine has existed since Hippocrates (c460-377BC), the ancient Greak Olympians, Galen and Gladiators of Rome (AD157).

Jane's treatment programmes may incorporate her skills in Kinesiology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and the use of Aromatherapy and essential oils, where appropriate.
